NutritionQuest provides a full range of reliable, validated, up-to-date diet and physical activity assessment tools, in a variety of formats to meet your research needs. All Block Questionnaires may now be administered either in paper and pencil format or in computerized format, providing instant nutrition and physical activity analyses you can trust. The current family of products includes diet questionnaires for adults and children (full-length, brief, and nutrient-specific screeners), and physical activity assessment tools for both adults and children.

Block questionnaires, food lists, nutrient databases, and analyses are continually redesigned as appropriate data become available. Block assessment tools are designed and tested for usability and have a long history of validation in a variety of demographic subpopulations. To meet special needs of researchers and health education professionals, we can apply the same principles of design and original research to the development of custom questionnaires, screeners and analyses. Dietary Behavior Change Program

The Worksite Internet Nutrition Program (WIN) is a 12-week dietary intervention delivered entirely by email. It focuses on increasing consumption of fruits and vegetables and on reducing dietary fat intake. It can be used by any organization -- a company, a union, a health maintenance organization or a church group – to provide an inexpensive health benefit to their membership.

WIN is unique in that it provides health messages that are tailored to each individual's 'dietary lifestyle'. Rather than utilizing a one-size-fits-all approach to behavior change, the WIN program assesses an individual's characteristics with respect to dietary intake, cooking habits, eating out, and the presence of children at home – and responds with individually tailored behavior change messages encouraging change through small, achievable steps. Survey Data Analysis

National survey data provide a wealth of information on numerous aspects of health, including physical examinations, blood components, and dietary data. We use the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) data to inform the development of our dietary questionnaires, and to tailor questionnaires to investigators’ special demographic groups.

We also provide survey data analysis services (NHANES, CSFII, NHAPS). Our analyses are being used by government and industry to understand specific food and nutrient intakes in demographic groups, to assess nutrient adequacy within groups, and for other purposes. Click here for more details.
